My overall opinion for this term would have to be great I got time to know by classmates personally and made some more and new friends.

For my highlight it would have to be AFL as there were some amazing techniques and games that we played and participated in. I am most proud of my attendance because it has helped me to get into extension. I was disappointed this term that we didn’t get the chance to make any mtv’s or movies to show what we learnt and that we had to do animations for all of those boxes.

In the 1st term my tasks were to a great standard but they weren’t handed in on time. This term I think I have been able to self manage myself and time a bit more better than the previous term. I think that all my subjects have been finished to my potential except for my reading presentations I felt like there wasn’t enough work that had been put in. Doing so well in maths I know need to start on learning algebra and patterns. I hope that next term I will know them like my basic facts.

When working in groups I give my share of work and even more like finishing the task by myself. As much as doing all the work I do cooperate with my peers and the people that I don’t know that well.

Next term I am looking forward to the theme and all the subjects also to see if and when we get the opportunity to create a mtv with friends for our task also to seeing my friends and classmates.

To review the past weeks we had spent with Tim, our AFL coach, we had a little test. The test was on seeing what we had learnt, and remembered such as what the marks and techniques were. Some of them are really easy because the name gives it away. The marks were specky, chest mark and high mark. More things we had learnt were hand ball, ruck, bounce and drop punt.

To get our muscles pumped and ready, as it was the morning, we played a little game of rats and rabbits. In our partners one was the rat and the other was the rabbit. It was confusing. Luckily it didn’t go on for too long.

Our next skill was the ruck.  It was similar to how they start the match in basketball. It was really funny because I was the tallest in my trio, which meant I got the ball every time.

Ending the session we played a game where we split into 4 teams and competed by hitting them with the ball. The technique that we used was the handball unless we wanted to get out. Sprinting towards my player I tried to corner them to get them out. Soon when it was their turn I knew that I would be their main target. Near the last match I figured that it wasn’t on wear they were it was the accuracy of our passes. Huffed and puffed it was the end. Sweat was dripping down some faces.

Sound Explanation

My Sound Explanation is about my instrument that I am going to make for my sound project. The instrument I am going to make is a cardboard guitar. How I am going to make this is I will use 3 cardboard pieces and two back pieces. Using the same material I then next will glue them one layer to the other. Last thing is to add the strings to make the sound and change the pitch.

How I will make the sound is pull or strum the strings on top of the hollow hole. The sound will then go inside the hole and bounce off everything inside the guitar. It then will emit the music from the guitar this happens so quick that we don’t even know this.

Today we found out more about the 20 thinkers keys. We looked closely at the BAR key if you don't know what it is then keep on reading. B stands for bigger like what you want to make bigger to something. A is adding for what you want to add to the object and R is replacing something on the object. Have a look at my house that was original then got transformed into something house!

Netball Weather

As the ref blew her whistle to start the game we were all ready to play, despite the awful weather.
The site of the weather was like a hurricane or tsunami was just about to hit us. It felt like the rain was hail and the wind was forced upon us. It was freezing!

The 1st quarter had started and we were all running to the ball to try and get the ball and take it to our teams hoop. If you don’t already know what this is it is Netball. Once we got the ball we threw it down the court to another player on our team. Then to another it was like hot potato, it reached the end and that’s when the ref blew her whistle “ goal “ she said.

Quarter after quarter the ball was getting slippery and we were getting numb. You could tell because the passes were going everywhere and slipping out of the team members hands. Chasing after to get the ball it was hard as the rain kept going in our eyes making the sight poor it was like we were in the movie frozen. Intercepting the ball we were getting buffeted by the wind like we were puppets. Time!

On the sideline I was thinking that it could never get worse but I spoke too soon cause the last quarter was horrifying. Wind was brisk and our fingers were like icicle’s. Finally the game came to an end. Doing our cheers and handshake we were like statues who had gone for a swim. Cause our uniform was soaked.

Barging through the door I dived into the shower still cold I went and sat near the fire and waited  for my dinner. ”Never am I doing that again” I said to myself in the background I could hear my mum saying the same. Still to this day my shoes are wet after the sunshine.

What is Fifa World cup

Fifa world cup 2014 is getting closer by the second. If you don't know what this is it is a world cup for soccer called the Fifa world cup. This year it is in Brasilia in other word Brazil. There are heaps of teams competing to try and win the cup and take it home to there countries

I wonder if some team new would win the Fifa cup this year or if it will still be Spain to win the world cup. Can't wait to see who will win and hopefully New Zealand will win the cup and bring it home. Go teams!

Here is my Bag Pipes presentation. I did this for reading as it was one of our tasks for this week. We have been reading about Bag-Pipes. Here is my presentation about this instrument.

Mele, Ashlee, Annliz Math DLO

Me and two friends made this for maths. It shows the question and how we solved it. We solved it by using partitioning. To see the question and answer watch the video at the top. Enjoy!

Maths D.L.O

Here is my maths DLO. The strategy I used was partitioning. The question was 176 divided by 8. Hope you enjoy!

Seal attack

We all see cute seals well at least that's how they look. Loving, slippery and a cool animal to be with or keep as a pet. Well on June the 1st of 2014 a seal attacked an 85 year old man. This attack happened when the 85 year old man was walking along the New Plymouth walkway.

Unfortunately after this walk there was blood at the seen where he had been attacked. He survived but with serious injuries. What seemed to be a walk in the morning ended up being a trip to the hospital. Sadly for the elderly man his injuries are so serious hey don't know when he would be released from hospital.
