Fia Fia Woooh. Ladies and Gentlemen put your hands together for the 2014 Fia Fia night. Each year the school throws a Fia Fia night to showcase the students talent and to connect them with their culture. Of course there is other groups like hip hop and jump jam that are not culture groups. This event takes place at Point England School mostly every year.
Each student at Point England has to take pick a group that they would like to be apart of. They then have to go to practices once a week but when it close to the day the practice's will double and then the week off the day the practices will be nearly every day for rehearsals and for the stage set up. On Wednesday now that the practices have finished the only thing to do is wait until six o'clock to go and perform at seven.
Walking to the courtyard you could see the big stage on the field. It was crowded with more than 1 thousand people all buying food and settling down to watch the performances. The delicious aromas was tingling my nose as the food stalls had been selling their food. The night was hectic until the show started.
All the kids had to go and get ready for their performances. Over the intercom Mr Burt said that it was five minutes until the show so we started to line up and walk towards the stage. My favourite was precisely that because it was funny and all of the performers were in time with each other. Good job Mr S and Mr Barks great choreography.
Fia Fia night has come and gone and has left the parents and students with joy filled hearts. The performances were great and now the school is just recovering from the late nights and awkward days without practises. Thanks for watching if you came and for reading! ^_^
